Malflora Magazine is a community-centered magazine published by Malflora Collective twice a year. Malflora Magazine publishes cultural criticism and creative works by and about Latina/e lesbians with the goal of making our insights, stories, histories, cultures, and lives open and accessible to all who seek them.

For Issue 1: Latina/e Lesbian Lives & Legacies, Malflora Magazine invites essays, interviews, poetry, fiction, art, photography, and hybrid works that respond to the following questions:
Who are your/our Latina/e lesbian ancestors, and what are their legacies?
How do contemporary Latina/e lesbians challenge and/or extend these legacies?
What legacies are you and your communities building or dreaming of?
What does it mean to be a lesbian and Latina/e today?
How do Latina/e lesbians find or build community?
What senses, sights, sounds, tastes, and feelings define Latina/e lesbian existence?
Submission specifications:
Text-based submissions should be less than 2,000 words and submitted as a .pdf file.
Visual art and photography submissions should be submitted as a .jpg file, approximately 500 kb in size, with a resolution of at least 72 ppi.
Collaborative, hybrid, and multilingual submissions (English, Spanish, and Portuguese) are welcome.
Submit by December 9, 2024 to be published in Issue 1: Latina/e Lesbian Lives & Legacies (Spring 2025).
